Are Viruses the precursors to all life on earth?

Probably. I’ve always thought they were smart little buggers. Still smarter than us, too.

    Thanks for this great article. Just the kind of information I like to gather.

    Ironically I was talking with my wife this evening about viruses (lot of people sick with the flu around here). I jokingly told her that viruses have gotten a lot of poor press since they’ve been discovered. And now we discover that they may have been the precursors to life as we know it. Tongue in cheek I told my wife that we should make it up to the viruses by having “Adopt A Virus” day.

    Thanks for your great links to interesting topics. I also like your animated reflections.
